Hawaii Foodbank gets $10,000

The First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu at Koolau gave $10,000 to the Hawaii Foodbank to help low-income students at Princess Kaiulani Elementary School. The funds went to the Food 4 Keiki Backpack Program, which distributes backpacks of nutritious food to 300 students who go without school breakfast or lunch over the weekend.


Hawaii Pacific University named Aytun Ozturn as dean of the College of Business Administration. He joined the university in 2003 as an assistant professor teaching in the Master of Business Administration program and later served as assistant dean of the College of Business Administration in 2006. He is also an associate professor in the MBA program and university adviser for the MBA Club-Hawaii.


Hawaiian Building Maintenance promoted Jarrett Walters to executive director of building services from director of retail operations.


Bella Pietra hired Stromberg Gaditano as purchaser. He has 10 years of management and purchasing experience including assistant manager for WalMart Inc. and sales manager at Aloha Beach Resort.
