2 males use gun to threaten victim

Police are looking for two male suspects who robbed a man in Waianae.

Sometime between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 21-year-old man said he went outside his home to check on his dog after he heard him barking. At that time he saw two men loitering on the street in front of his home.

Police said the victim confronted the suspects—one of them described as a man between the ages of 18 and 20, the other age 21—when one of the suspects lifted his shirt, exposing a handgun. He threatened to shoot the victim and started to search the victim's pockets. When the suspect did not find anything, the suspect asked for the victim's necklace.

Police said the victim became scared and ran down the street; then he heard two gunshots. The suspects also fled.
