Freeway accident kills motorcyclist

One man was killed yesterday in a single motorcycle accident on the H-1 freeway, police said.

At 4:21 p.m. the man was traveling westbound when he crashed near the 5th Avenue onramp in Kaimuki, police said.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Center, where he died.

Unpaid hotel bill leads to arrest

Police arrested a 37-year-old Waikiki man who allegedly tried to check out of the Ala Moana Hotel without paying his bill.

Police said the man checked into the hotel Friday, and when he checked out yesterday he said he could not pay the bill, which was more than $300.

Police arrested him for investigation of second-degree theft.
