Foodland boosts Salvation Army

Foodland Super Market Ltd. gave $90,521.52—60 percent more than last year—to the Salvation Army to help provide meals to the needy during the holidays. In November and December, Foodland and Sack 'N Save customers made donations to Foodland's Share a Holiday Feast Program.

Stella L. Wong, a local businesswoman, donated $10,000 to the Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center, a program of Catholic Charities Hawaii. The center provides health and social services and activities to keep seniors in their own homes and the community, and out of institutional nursing homes.

Hawaiian Airlines hired Devin Shishido as Kauai station manager. He replaces Les Fujii, who is retiring. Shishido will oversee a staff of 100 people at the Lihue terminal. His experience includes 20 years in the airline industry.

The Honolulu Board of Realtors named Bennett Liu the new director of finance. He will oversee a broad range of financial and accounting responsibilities, including planning and budgeting, accounting system operations and asset management.
