By

POSTED: Thursday, February 12, 2009

Aaron Fernandez hit a key 3-pointer late to rally Kalaheo past Moanalua 57-54 on the Mustangs senior night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association boys basketball game last night.

Moanalua led most of the way, but Na Menehune's Marcus Monroe, who scored a game-high 22 points, fouled out with about a minute left in the game with the score tied at 52.

Fernandez hit a three from the wing with 30 seconds remaining.

Moanalua couldn't convert inside and was forced to foul Richard Preza Haynes, who converted two free throws to ice the game.
