No shooting, no casualties—but in the end only one man was left standing. The Battleship Missouri Memorial named Roderick Dizor as Hawaii's Mightiest Chef on Saturday.

Dizor, chef at Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar, triumphed after several hours of cooking in a competition that marked the 10th anniversary of the memorial, and the 65th anniversary of the battleship's launch from Brooklyn Navy Yard during World War II.

His dishes were two Sansei specialties—King Crab Ramen with Asian Truffle Broth and Crispy Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll. Dizor was named winner among five civilian chefs, then took the top prize over the military's champion, Nathan Weaver of USS Port Royal, who also bested five of his compatriots.

Actor Gary Sinise—of “;Forrest Gump,”; “;CSI: New York”; and the Lt. Dan Band—presented the People's Choice Award to Kyle Yonashiro of Ruth's Chris Steak House, who cooked up a Seared Ahi Prime-Rib Style and Grilled Filet Mignon with Lobster Hash.

The team of judges included chef Alan Wong.
