Hale Kipa program wins grant

Hale Kipa's Youth Outreach Program, known as YO!., received a $7,500 grant from Traders for Charity, Inc. Hale Kipa and the Waikiki Health Center have been providing services to runaway and homeless youth on Oahu since 1989.

  ; Chinen & Arinaga Financial Group announced the following promotions: John Au to vice president and Aran Hiromoto to vice president. Au is a Chartered Financial Consultant, Certified Fund Specialist and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living; Hiromoto started his training in 1997 as a financial services professional and has been one the firm's top producers since 2002.

Arcadia has named Philip Isaacs as director of home- and community-based programs. He will oversee operations for Arcadia Home Care & Home Health Services and the two adult day programs managed by Arcadia Elder Services at Central Union Church and the Kilohana United Methodist Church in Niu Valley.

American Savings Bank's monthly “;First Saturday”; community collection program Jan. 3 collected items for statewide shelters, including H5 on Oahu; YWCA Family Violence Shelter on Kauai; The Friendly Place on the Big Island; Ka Hale a Ke Ola on Maui; and Hale Ho'omalu on Molokai.
