Tyga / Pipeline Cafe / 589-1999
Local promoters BAMP Project continue to stay ahead of the curve in 2009, hosting artists that have seen some success without yet becoming household names.
Compton-based rapper Tyga (pictured) is the next to get a push from BAMP with a headlining set at Pipeline on Saturday. The cousin of Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy, Tyga has gotten airtime on MTV with his debut single, "Coconut Juice," released last year. Doors open at 10 p.m.
