'Celebrate Health'

A new year could mean a healthier you, and the annual John A. Burns School of Medicine could be the first step to getting you there.

The school's annual medicine health fair will have blood pressure, BMI and other health screenings; free samples of nutritional items from Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe; door prizes; yoga demonstrations; free massages; a blood drive (call 848-4721 to schedule an appointment); entertainment by faculty and students; food by KCC Culinary Arts Program's Kulia Grill; and a talk by author and motivational speaker Dr. Terry Shintani (”;The Hawaii Diet”; and “;Eat More, Weigh Less Cookbook”;).

The fair will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Friday in the lobby of the Medical Education Building, 651 Ilalo St.
