Hurd, Botticelli to lead mediators

The Mediation Center of the Pacific has elected its officers and directors for 2009: Officers include Charles H. Hurd, president; Ann Botticelli, vice president; Eric S. Austin, treasurer; and Warren Haight, secretary. Directors include Sidney Ayabe, Botticelli, Beatrice L.K. “;Beadie”; Dawson, Lee W. Erwin, David Franzel, Mervina Kaukini Mamo Cash-Ka'eo, Susan Lampe, Judge Victoria Marks, Michael Nauyokas, Abelina Madrid-Shaw, Melvin Soong, Jeffrey Swartz and Lisa A. Wong.

Nordic PCL Construction has promoted John Voorhees to project manager in the company's special-projects division. He has served the company for three years and has seven years' experience in the construction industry.

  King & Neel has hired Ty Nojima as an account executive. He was previously senior staff adjuster at Frank Gates Acclaim and has 15 years of insurance claims experience in the hotel, airline, retail, manufacturing and construction industries.

The Ala Moana Hotel has promoted Meyric Muraoka to food and beverage sales manager from purchasing agent. He has more than 30 years' experience in Hawaii's food and beverage industry including general manager at Kyo-Ya Restaurant, banquet manager at the Sheraton Waikiki and banquet captain at the Halekulani.

  Argosy University has named Kawika Kane as associate director of university outreach. His previous sales and marketing experience includes field admissions representative for the state of Hawaii and High Tech Institute, and sales manager for Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park.
