ML Macadamia to trade as 'NNUT'

ML Macadamia Orchards LP said yesterday that its depositary receipts evidencing Class A units will be traded on the over-the-counter OTCQX trading system under the ticker symbol “;NNUT”; effective with the opening of the market today.

The partnership fell below the New York Stock Exchange's continued listing standard requiring it to maintain an average market capitalization of no less than $25 million over a consecutive 30-day trading period, and was required to delist from the NYSE.

 

UH awards parking contract

Ampco System Parking said yesterday it has been awarded a multiyear contract with the University of Hawaii for the gate operations and parking services at the Manoa campus.

“;We are pleased to work with the University of Hawaii to provide professional parking management services for this unique and diverse public system of higher education throughout the state of Hawaii,”; Rich Kindorf, president of Ampco System Parking, said in a statement.

 

Scholarship fund receives grant

The Crown Prince Akihito Scholarship Foundation has been given a grant of $25,000 over three years by the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation, the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank. The grant will support tuition fees for American and Japanese graduate students looking to study abroad, the bank said in a statement this week.

More than 125 scholarships have been awarded since 1973, enabling graduate students the opportunity to study abroad in both countries.

 

Horizon Air reschedules flights

From January through March, Horizon Air is changing flight schedules on several routes to better align themselves with travelers' needs.

Starting Feb. 8, the last flight to Yakima, Wash., from Seattle will depart 25 minutes later at 10:45 p.m., allowing time for travelers to transfer from eight additional inbound connections from Hawaii, Chicago and California.

On Feb. 8, the last flight from Seattle to Wenatchee, Wash., will change to 10:45 p.m. to pick up eight new inbound connections from Hawaii, Mexico, Alaska, California and several East Coast destinations.

 

Suntech to host solar open house

Suntech Hawaii will host its first solar open house in Kaneohe on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to highlight the benefits of installing residential solar systems. The company previously installed an 80-gallon solar hot water system and 48-panel photovoltaic system that generates more than 10 kilowatts of electricity a day at the house, located at 46-129 Aeloa St.

Suntech Hawaii's staff will be on hand to answer questions about residential solar installations.

 

Hawaiian ranks in Zagat survey

Zagat Survey said yesterday that Hawaiian Airlines ranks third for mid-sized U.S. economy class carriers and second for mid-sized U.S. premium class carriers in its most recent airline survey, released yesterday.

The survey is based on the experiences of 9,950 frequent fliers and travel professionals who rated 85 major world airlines and 27 domestic U.S. airports. Each airline was separately rated on its premium and economy service for both domestic and international flights.
