Workshop to teach media skills

The local chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association is holding a free Media Access Workshop to teach community groups how to get stories into the news.

Attendees will learn how to write a press release and get tips on being interviewed.

Panelists are KHNL News8 and KFVE News at 9 anchorwoman Stephanie Lum, Honolulu Star-Bulletin features reporter Jason Genegabus, Honolulu Advertiser community news editor James Gonser and Bright Lights Marketing Vice President Scott Ishikawa.

The workshop will be held tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. at the Honolulu Advertiser ground-floor conference room.
