Ride 'em cowboy via Aqua Hotels

Aqua Hotels & Resorts is offering a kamaaina “;Paniolo Special”; at the Equus, an Aqua Boutique Hotel.

The special includes a Polo Deluxe Room plus free parking, late checkout at 4 p.m., daily continental breakfast and high-speed Internet access for $110 per night, and has a two-for-one beachfront trail ride option for an additional $95.

The scenic 90-minute horseback trail ride starts at the Mokuleia Polo Field on the North Shore, winding through ironwood forests, naupaka shrubs and along the beach before circling back to the polo field.

The 68-room hotel is one block from Ala Moana Center and in easy walking distance to the Hawai'i Convention Center. The Equus has a long-standing paniolo heritage, reflected in its decor with images and sculptures of horses and use of the palaka print for staff uniforms.

Owner Mike Dailey is president of the Hawaii Polo Club, and the hotel is the official home of the club, hosting visiting teams during the polo season, from late April through September. Dailey often makes tickets available to guests.

Napili Kai offers family special

Napili Kai Beach Resort, a deluxe resort situated on 10 beachfront acres on Maui's western shore, is offering two nights free with a seven-night stay and a “;children eat free”; program, available for travel this fall into 2009.

The 163-room resort is known for its comfortable accommodations, relaxed ambience and spectacular setting on crescent-shaped Napili Bay.

Napili Kai's “;7th Heaven”; special provides the sixth and seventh nights free with a stay of five paid nights at rack rates, which start at $270 per night for an ocean-view room. The special offer is valid for stays through Dec. 19, Jan. 7-25 and April 21 to June 12.

Through the Keiki Eat Free program, kids 12 and younger receive one free entree from the beachfront Sea House Restaurant keiki menu during breakfast, lunch or dinner when accompanied by an adult who purchases an adult entree of equal or greater value.
