Looking to be pampered?

Downtown Decadence offers an evening of indulgence at the revitalized YWCA of Oahu, 1040 Richards St.

Attendees will enjoy facials, minimakeovers, massages, manicures, music, pupus and drinks from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Guests may also visit the fully renovated Fuller Hall.

Try Hawaii Opera with single tickets

If you'd like to partake of the 2009 Winter Grand Opera Season, but can't commit to the trio of performances, tickets for individual operas are now on sale.

Choose from Puccini's “;Manon Lescaut,”; Jan. 30, Feb. 1 and 3; Mozart's “;Abduction from the Seraglio,”; Feb. 13, 15 and 17; and Georges Bizet's “;Carmen,”; Feb. 27, March 1 and 3.

All Hawaii Opera Theatre performances are at the Blaisdell Concert Hall, with English super-titles projected above the stage. Tickets are $29 to $120; $20 for college students. Season tickets of $81 to $333 are also available.

Nominate alumni for UH awards

Nominations are being sought for the University of Hawaii's Distinguished Alumni Awards, open to graduates from any of the University of Hawaii's 10 campuses.

Nominees must have received one or more degrees at a UH institution, or have completed half their educational degree program on a UH campus.

Consideration will be given to the nominee's service to UH, service to the community and professional accomplishments.

Winners will be acknowledged at a banquet May 7.
