» Tonya Cataldo, 39, of Parker, Colo., who drowned Sunday off Kauai, was part of the support staff at several schools in the Douglas County School District and was the registrar at Clear Sky Elementary School at the time of her death. A Page A4 article Tuesday said she was an administrator in the Douglas County School District. The online edition has been corrected.

» State senators are urging the attorney general to appoint an independent investigator to look into whether Ted Liu, director of the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, committed a criminal violation by awarding a contract worth up to $385,000 to the lowest bidder to manage an $8.7 million high-tech investment fund. A story on Page C1 yesterday morning and on C2 yesterday afternoon used an incorrect number. The online edition has been corrected.
