Love it or swap it

Fashionista's Market will be hosting its 2nd Closet Swap starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Luana Hills Country Club, helping participants recycle unwanted clothes while picking up someone else's discarded treasure.

To add to the fashion hunt, FM, The Wedding Cafe, Alliway, Jessica's Traveling Boutique and Split Obsession will also be adding new clothes and accessories into the mix.

A $25 ticket includes champagne brunch, the swap, raffles and prize giveaways. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and proceeds will benefit Sustainable Saunders, a University of Hawaii nonprofit group working to make UH 100 percent sustainable. To help promote green thinking, participants are asked to bring in paper, plastic bottles and cans for a recyclable goods drive, and bring bags to carry their finds. No bags will be provided at the event.

Drop gently used items off at the Ward Wedding Cafe. The staff will mark your ticket with the amount of swappable items you bring in. On Sunday, take the same amount of items you put into the swap. Call 591-1005 or visit FashionistasMarket.com.
