Hawaii head coach Greg McMackin expects most of the Warriors injured Saturday to return when they travel to Fresno State this week.

Defensive tackle Rocky Savaiigaea could have a longer wait ahead of him. The junior said he was scheduled to have an MRI performed yesterday after he reinjured his left arm during last week's 20-17 loss to San Jose State.

Savaiigaea missed most of fall camp and the Warriors' first three games with a tear in his triceps muscle and felt the same sensation while making a hit early in the fourth quarter against the Spartans.

Savaiigaea had played extensively in his season debut and was lining up a shot on SJSU quarterback Kyle Reed when he extended his arms and “;it popped on me.”;

“;I wasn't 100 percent, but I was able to play,”; Savaiigaea said. “;I was playing good and it was holding up on me and just that one motion just killed it for me.

“;It felt so good to be back with the boys, feel the emotions, make plays, just be able to hit someone else other than your own people. But it's part of the game, injuries happen so I'm not going to hang my head.”;

McMackin said the Warriors (1-3, 0-1 Western Athletic Conference) were “;devastated”; after the loss to San Jose State, but will try to put the game behind them as they look ahead to facing No. 22 Fresno State (3-1, 0-0) on Saturday at Bulldog Stadium.
