Dr. Mark H.K. Greer, chief of the state Health Department's Dental Division, has been elected president of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry by the organization's international membership.

  Sierra Club, Hawaii Chapter honored several individuals who “;have made a difference for Hawaii's environment.”; David Raney was given the Malama Honua Award; Lola Mench, the Laulima award; state Rep. Cynthia Thielen, the Lifetime Legislative Achievement Award; Lorin Gill, Keiki o ka'aina award; Jim and Cindy Waddington and Reese Liggett and Suzan Harada, the Ed Stevens 'Ohana award; Steven Tearney, the Kokua award.

  The Former Agents of the FBI Foundation donated $2,500 in scholarship money to the Justice Administration Program at the University of Hawaii West Oahu.

  Bank of Hawaii Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 to the Queen's Cancer Center to support former cancer patient Susan Kobayashi's project to provide uplifting DVDs for patients to watch while undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
