Bullet Poamo Aliifua,64, of Pearl City, a retired staff sergeant from the U.S. Air Force, died Nov. 17 in St. Francis Hospital. He was also a former pastor for the First Samoan Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Carson, Calif., worked for U.S. Customs in Los Angeles, and was a disabled veteran. Born in American Samoa, he is survived by wife Salavao; children Priscilla, Joshua, Seth, Gideon, Terry and Ricky Aliifua, Sarah Lauti, Tony Sapiga and Ann Toilolo; brothers and sisters Mila Maefau, Nana Tausaga, Vaiauro Ryan, Florita Sausau and Charlie, John, Fiso, Palati and Samoa Aliifua; and eight grandchildren. Bullet Tranquilina C. Andaya,80, of Hilo died Nov. 16 in Queen's Hospital. Born in Ilocos Sur, the Philippines, she is survived by husband Evaristo, daughter Petronila Macagba, sons Clemente “Celino” and Evaristo Jr., sister Maria Ayson, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
