Paul L. Wilcox and Ellen C. Hughes will be remembered in services Saturday.
Wilcox, 79, of Honolulu, a pioneer in Hawaii radio, and Hughes, 86, of Honolulu, a senior companion with the state, died in Castle Hospital after a two-car accident Saturday at Likelike and Kahekili highways.
Born in Argonia, Kan., Wilcox is survived by sons Stephen Haeberle and Patrick and Timothy Wilcox; daughters Leslie Wilcox and Shannon Dreis; brother Burke; sisters Leila Pennick and Bula Good; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Born in China, Hughes is survived by nephews Ed and Xavier Ching and Charles, Samuel and David Chun; and nieces Yolette Nishimoto, Veralyn Meyer, Lorna Lubawski, Cynthia Chun and Sandra Thornburg.
