Senior Night came 24 hours early for Leah Karratti. Last night, the senior captain for the No. 7 Hawaii women's volleyball team had a career outing with a match-high 15 kills in the 15-7, 15-6, 15-1 nonconference victory over Central Florida.

The Wahine (23-2) needed just 73 minutes to dispose of the Golden Knights (6-13) and run their win streak to 11. The teams meet again at 7 tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center in Hawaii's final regular-season match at home.

"I'm very confident we'll be back here at the beginning of the NCAA Tournament," senior setter Nikki Hubbert said. "I don't think it's our last home game. I think it will be our last easy home game, but I don't think it's our final aloha to anybody."

Hawaii finishes out the month on the road, at San Jose State next Friday and Fresno State on Saturday. The WAC Tournament is in Las Vegas Thanksgiving week, with the championship on Nov. 28.

The NCAA pairings will be announced Nov. 29. The first and second rounds will be played at the same site; Hawaii is expecting to host Dec. 5-6.

"What we have to do (tonight) is look at this as our last game going into the final part of the season," Hubbert said. "We've got to start focusing on what we want to accomplish the rest of the year."

After three consecutive tough matches in eight days, the Wahine were ready for a breather. Despite starting outside hitter Jessica Sudduth out of the lineup (heel bruise), Hawaii barely broke a sweat against struggling UCF.

"We are tired and wanted to make it a fast game," said freshman blocker Veronica Lima (10 kills, no errors, .714). "We wanted to play well but beat them fast."

Hawaii's hurry-up offense didn't get into gear until the Golden Knights took early leads in both Games 1 and 2. The Wahine's serving -- Lima had three of the four aces -- and their blocking -- Lima and Jenny Roberts combined for seven blocks proved too much for UCF.

Backup setter Tehani Miyashiro was supposed to set in Game 3 but she served Hawaii to a 6-0 lead before getting her first assist. The Wahine didn't go through an entire service rotation before closing out the match.

"We had the momentum going for us in Game 3," said Karratti, who moved from right- to left-side hitter because of Sudduth's injury. "We are having fun on our side. Our skills are coming together.

"My Senior Night came really quick. I don't know if you can ever be ready for it."
