DiverseAbilitiesThe event is a benefit for DiverseAbilities, a collaboration of nonprofit organizations whose partners include Hawaii Assistive Technology Training and Services, Hawaii Centers for Independent Living, United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii and Winners at Work.
Muranaka, who amazes his friends with his musical knowledge, grew up with cerebral palsy and said, "I couldn't go out and play like most kids did. I spent a lot of time listening to my older sister's record collection and the radio. That's how I learned so much about rock 'n' roll."
He said sharing his record collection with the public is his way of thanking those agencies that helped him to deal with cerebral palsy.
Tickets for the event are $15 advance and $20 at the door. Call 532-6744 for tickets or information.
