New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Pio Sagapolutele will be sidelined for 10-12 weeks with a torn triceps muscle, leaving the team without three of its four defensive line starters from last season.

Sagapolutele, a former Pac-Five star, was injured during Saturday's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.

Sagapolutele signed with New Orleans as a free agent in 1997 and collected 35 tackles and two sacks in his first season with the Saints.
