He has 14 years experience in the resort business and recently was general manager of The SandCastle, a dinner-show theater and entertainment center on Guam. Gersonde also was at Hyatt Hotels in Australia, Saipan and Guam; La Costa Hotel and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. and the Doubletree Hotel in Vail, Colo. He earned a bachelor's in hotel restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University.
