James Hicks took a close look yesterday at this 19-foot-long
panoramic picture of Halemaumau Crater and the surrounding
area at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island.
The photographer was David Cornwell, standing center left,
who displayed the picture at Snap Shot Inc. on Pohukaina Street
to show students what can be done on a computer using a digital file.
It took eight hours to print the picture on an inkjet printer and cost $900.
