Kop comeback

Brandan Kop birdied the final hole to cap a stirring comeback and win the Oahu Country Club Men's Invitational yesterday.

Kop's 10-foot putt gave him an even-par 71 for the final round and a 213 total, edging Jim Seki Jr., who finished with a 76--214.

Seki, a Punahou School senior, led by four strokes entering the final round and upped that to a seven-stroke lead after four holes but couldn't hold off Kop.

MIURA BOWLS 300: Kevin Miura bowled a perfect 300 game during Waialae Strike & Spare Club league play on May 30 at Waialae Bowl.

Miura, 19, also had games of 225 and 199 for a 724 series.
