4-H formulates cookbook

Last month the Oahu County 4-H held its 25th Local and Ethnic Food Show. To celebrate the occasion, the recipes for this year's entries and the winning recipes from the previous 24 shows have been published in a cookbook.

"My Favorite Local and Ethnic Food Show" cookbook contains 274 recipes submitted by 4-H members 5 to 18 years old. They include versions of local favorites such as Warabi Salad, Aloha Shrimp and Hawaiian Bread Pudding; ethnic delicacies; "Potpourri Specials"; and "Skinny" desserts.

The book costs $12 plus $3 for postage and may be ordered from: Oahu 4-H Organization, c/o Cooperative Extension Service, 962 Second St., Pearl City, Hawaii 96782.
