The CaneFires had tied it in the eighth on an RBI triple by Fletcher Bates and a sacrifice fly by Jim Chamblee.
Gabe Kapler, Giuseppe Chiaramonte and Norm Hutchins homered in the Sharks' third straight victory over the CaneFires.
Stars 8, Stingrays 3: At Wailuku, Bo Porter stroked three hits for the Hilo Stars, who rolled up an 8-0 lead after five innings and went on to snap Maui's winning string at five games.
