Murunon Benjamin, 56, of Honolulu died June 11 in Wahiawa General Hospital. Born in the Marshall Islands, he is survived by wife Bile; sons Danny, Orlando, Anton and Murunon Jr.; daughters Susan, Judy, Alice and Winisty; mother Ajnet Daniel; and nine grandchildren. Zahara-Lynn K.P. Bullock, infant daughter of Shirley A. Pangorang and Steven A. Bullock, died June 16 in Waianae. Jacinto P. Burgos, 78, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, a retired utility worker for Hilo Coast Processing Co., died Thursday in Hilo Hospital. Walter Schiess, 78, of Honolulu, a former chef and food service instructor at Kapiolani Community College, died June 21 in Queen’s Hospital. He received the Board of Regents’ Medal for excellence in teaching from the University of Hawaii, was named Chef of the Year by the Chefs de Cuisine Association of Hawaii, and was a national and international gold medal award winner for his ice carvings.
