Bridging the Pacific for Bankoh

J. Lawrence Hall will help companies do business in four major regions serviced by Bank of Hawaii. This involves corporate finance, trade finance and cash management for the bank's corporate clients.

"My job is to identify and initiate transactions with mainland corporate customers who have an interest in Hawaii, the Pacific and Asia," Hall said.

Hall came to Bankoh in January from Connecticut where he operated his own financial consultant company.

Hall has worked in corporate and international banking at First National Bank of Chicago and Chemical Bank of New York City, assigned to Tokyo and Seoul.

Hall also set up a provincial economic development office as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. He got a bachelor's degree in economics at Dartmouth College and a master's in business administration at New York University.
