UH site shows off
students’ talents

If it is spring, it must be time for the University of Hawaii to unleash upon the world thousands of job seekers.

There's a job bank of sorts located at http://www.hawaii.edu/leisure/personal.html which shows off what some of the University of Hawaii students can do. It's a collection of hundreds of personal Web pages developed at the University of Hawaii.

There are resumes from biologists, business majors, information science majors and even some of the non-nerd group.

There are grateful dedications to parents and corporations that sponsored scholarships, and there are links that degenerate into college humor that you wouldn't want to explain to an 8-year-old.

The site also links to some of the home pages of UH professors and staff.

The university staff has a lot more Web pages than the hundred or so listed at http://www.hawaii.edu/leisure/faculty.html, but these show off some wildly animated, creative and challenging sites.

Both the students' and the profs' pages point out the creative potential of the Web.

"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
