A light, festive atmosphere surrounds the Hawaiian Open being held
at Waialae this week. Adding a Hawaiian touch to the tournament
were Kekoa Kaapu, Jr., and Linza Kung. The two had a table along the
second fairway where they weaved lau hala hats. The hats were
selling swiftly in the sunny weather. Papale kolepa is
Hawaiian for 'golf hat.'
