Isle wedding bells ring
on the ’Net

Thanks to Circuit Judge Kevin Chang, weddings in Hawaii are making news. And while the state is still not issuing licenses for same-sex marriages, Hawaii is still a hot marriage spot on the Web.

There are at least 19 Web sites devoted to taking you through the "I dos."

One, at Tradewind Charters, http://www.hinet.com/twc/romantic.html, offers a wedding at sea "performed by our uniformed captain."

Then at Pua Melia Plantation, http://www.kauai.net/~kwc6/puamelia/, you turn your wedding plans over to Bill and Charlotte Fuller. Bill, a retired Honolulu police officer, and Charlotte, have been in the wedding business for more than 20 years.

If you have the honey but not the money, don't let that stop you, because Affordable Weddings of Hawaii, http://www.pete.com/weddings/, offers weddings for as low as $55, according to its Web site.

"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
