Your thoughts
about peace

Calling all military people from Hawaii!

All this week, the Honolulu Star-Bulletin wants to hear from military people with Hawaii ties who are stationed on active-duty overseas. Bosnia, the Sinai, the Persian Gulf, other hot spots worldwide.

This being the time of year for "Peace on Earth, Goodwill Toward Men," we think you have some unique perspectives and thoughts to share.

As you devote your time on a mission in some part of the world torn by strife and war, think about peace and what it means, what is possible. Then put your thoughts into an essay, poem or journal - length should be about 300 words maximum - and send it to citydesk@starbulletin.com. Or fax it to (808) 525-6711.

We need to receive your submissions by Friday Dec. 13, in order to decide which ones to print in the two weeks leading up to Christmas. We want to hear from YOU.
