Pictures with Santa Paws: Pet photographer Stan Wright offers three photo packages, 3 to 9 p.m. daily through Saturday at Ward Warehouse. Bring pets on a leash or in a carrier to the Kakaako room. Costs $12; benefits the Hawaiian Humane Society. Call 946-2187 ext. 213.

Aloha Santa Workshop: Todd Vander Plyum's 25-ton sand creation is on display through Christmas at Uptown Center Court, Pearlridge Center. Kids can meet Aloha Santa Uptown and a more traditional Santa Downtown.

Honolulu City Lights: "Christmas Trees Around the World" and Christmas wreaths are on display at Honolulu Hale, through Jan. 5. Performances nightly at 7 p.m., with Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Sunday; Kanikapila Singers, Monday; Good Tidings of Punahou School, Tuesday; St. Anthony School Children's Choir, Wednesday; and Manana Elementary School Choir, Dec. 12.

Kaimuki Christmas Parade: 6 p.m. today, from St. Louis School and Chaminade University. Parade proceeds down Waialae Avenue to the corner of Waialae and Koko Head avenues and concludes at Kaimuki Park, with a tree-lighting ceremony and visit by Santa.

Light Up a Memory: St. Francis Hospice holds a tree-lighting memorial service for families of late patients, 6 p.m. today, 24 Puiwa Road. Shuttle service from Nuuanu Elementary School, St. Stephen's Church and St. Francis Medical Center. To submit the name of a loved one, call 595-7566.

Tree-lighting ceremony: Castle Medical Center hosts a musical program with Santa, 6:30 p.m. today at the hospital entrance, where Kalanianaole Highway meets Kailua Road. The program kicks off the "Light Up Kailua" campaign. Call 263-5163.

Wahiawa Christmas Parade: Entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Wahiawa Town Center parking lot. The parade starts 7 p.m. from Ka'ala Elementary School and travels up California Avenue to the Town Center, where Santa greets kids.

"Gloria in Excelsis Deo": Kamehameha Schools presents a concert at the Blaisdell Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Free. Telecast on Fox 2 on Dec. 22 and 25. Call 842-8495.

Christmas breakfast: The Friends of Kailua High School offer a breakfast with Santa, 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the school, 451 Ulumanu Drive. Tickets $3.50 adults, $2.50 children. Free admission to same-day craft sale, through 3 p.m. Call 524-0330 or 262-8151.

Mililani Christmas Parade: The day opens with a concert 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Town Center of Mililani. The parade leaves the center at 9 a.m. and ends at the Mililani High School stadium. The Town Center presents another concert, with entertainers from the Royal Hawaiian Band, Mililani High School Band and other groups, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 732-7211.

Kaneohe Christmas Parade: Grand Marshall Lokelani Lindsey leads the parade, 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The route starts from Haiku Road and Kamehameha Highway, turns left onto Kaneohe Bay Drive and ends at Castle High School. Call 239-9003.

Makiki Mele Kalikimaka: Children's games and crafts, and Santa, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Makiki District Park. Free. Call 522-7082. Sponsored by Department of Parks and Recreation.

Liliha Christmas Block Party: Children's games and entertainment, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Kauluwela Community Park. Nuuanu Baptist Church offers free lunches. Call 531-1401.

Gentry-Waipio Christmas Parade: 2 p.m. Saturday. Call Neil at 623-3170 or Randy at 671-4838.

Tree-Lighting Ceremony: Musical performances, Christmas treats and picture-taking with Santa, 6 p.m. Saturday, Historic Kress Building, Hilo. Kress Christmas Craft Fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Call 961-2656, Big Island, for more holiday activities.

"Santa Teaches Us To Share": The Keiki Kani Choir performs a mini musical 4 p.m. Sunday at Ala Moana Centerstage.

Christmas Concert: "Emme's Island Moments" presents a benefit for HUGS, with Hapa, George Kuo, Dennis Kamakahi, Nohelani Cypriano, Martin Nievera and others, 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Monarch Room, Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Tickets $22.50. Call 593-8980. Toys will be donated to Toys for Tots.
