"Summer Slamm Megga Jamm Dance Party": Blaisdell Arena becomes a dance club, with deejays Kutmaster Spaz, Richie Aqui and DJ Johnny and "Oye Como Va" performed by Tito Puente Jr., 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday. Blues tour: Texas guitarist Anson Funderberg & the Rockets featuring Mississipi harmonica man Sam Myers kick off their tour with an appearance Sept. 4 at Borders, Ward Centre.

Concerts will be Sept. 5 at the Hawaiian Hut in Honolulu (737-9709), Sept. 6 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (242-SHOW/242-7469, Maui), Sept. 7 in the Poi Pounder Room, Kona Surf Hotel (322-3411 or 885-5002, Big Island) and Sept. 8 at the Pahoa Lounge (965-0065, Big Island). Tickets are $17 in advance, $20 day of concert.
