Chaminade names Niggle to PR post

Chaminade University is expanding its recreational facilities to include a new playing field, which should be ready in October for the softball season, said Cheryl Niggle, recently named director of university relations.

"The play field will be at the highest point on the campus, next to the Kieffer Hall dormitory and offices," Niggle said. She is in charge of special events and public relations.

Niggle most recently was executive director of the Honolulu Zoological Society. She also has worked at the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Honolulu.

Niggle earned a bachelor's degree in marketing/communications at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

Chaminade has more than 2,200 students on its main campus in Kaimuki and nine campuses located on military bases throughout Oahu.
