Hawaii Martial Arts Training Camp: Register 2:30 p.m. Friday for the Friday through Sunday camp at the He`eia State Park Visitor Center, Kaneohe. Fourteen hours of intense training with Jeet Kune Do instructor Burton Richardson from Los Angeles and June Castro, an eighth-degree black belt in Shaolin Kenpo karate. Costs $225.

Spring Dance: 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Ala Wai Palladium. Tickets $4 from the Waikiki Community Center, $5 at the door. Call 923-1802.

Makiki Loop Trail hike: Chris Welch leads a family hike in a cool, green forest, Saturday. Two and a half miles, three hours. Costs $5. Call the Hawai`i Nature Center at 955-0100.

Waiomao Trail hike: With Frank Conkey, Saturday. Costs $9. Call Lyon Arboretum at 988-7378. May be canceled if weather is disagreeable.

Spring Splash water safety class: Children 2 and older are introduced to the ocean and can participate in age-group swim testing, 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Ala Moana Beach Park. Come to Lifeguard Station 1E, just ewa of the Magic Island restrooms. Free. Call 739-8127. Presented by the American Red Cross.

Easter Celebration Latin Dance: 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, UPRAH Social Hall, 1249 School St. With music by Second Time Around. Doors open 7 p.m. Admission $10. Call 682-5101 or 847-2751.

Mayor's Sundays on Wheels: Mayor Jeremy Harris and his wife, Ramona, lead a group bicycle ride, 10 a.m. Sunday, Kualoa Ranch. See four miles of countryside portrayed in "Jurassic Park," "Magnum, PI" and "Byrds of Paradise," then listen to Kapena in concert at noon and watch professional racers in the final stage of the Outrigger Hotels Hawaiian Mountain (Bike) Tour at 1:30 p.m. Come as early as 8 a.m. to see the pros practice. Free admission.

Waimano hike: Follow an old irrigation ditch to the valley floor then climb to the summit, 8 a.m. Sunday. Fourteen miles in Pearl City. Call Arnold Fujioka of the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club at 531-8477.

Tenderfoot Square Dance: 7 to 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Ala Wai Golf Course Palladium. Donation $4. Call 923-0446.
