Koolau Ohana Days offer theater deals

Consolidated Theatres' Ko'olau Stadium 10 has introduced 'Ohana Days specials aimed at drawing families to the movies on weeknights.

On Matinee Mondays, matinee prices apply day and night; on Student Tuesdays, all students' tickets are $5.75 and include a small popcorn; on Hot Dog Wednesdays, hot dogs are half-off; on Thank You Thursdays, all tickets are $5.75; and on Free Popcorn Fridays, every ticket comes with a free 85-ounce bucket of popcorn.

Also on Wednesdays, beginning next week and running through Oct. 15, radio station 98.5 FM will host "Wednesday Nights at the Movies" with music and prize giveaways in the main lobby from 6 to 7 p.m.

Hot-rod contest at Bob's Big Boy

Bob's Big Boy celebrates its 33rd year in Hawaii with a hot-rod contest from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Bart DeSilva of radio station 107.9 FM will broadcast live as the winner of Bob's Big Boy Hawaii Top Ride 2008 is chosen. Big Boy Combos will sell for $4.95 all day.

The restaurant, at 2828 Paa St. in Mapunapuna, opened on June 9, 1975, as part of a chain established in 1936 by Bob Wian in Glendale, Calif. It became locally owned in 1991.

Styx standing-room tickets available

Standing-room tickets are on sale for the sold-out Styx concert Oct. 9 at Blaisdell Concert Hall.

The classic rock group's show has been sold out for months, but promoter King Michel Concerts is offering the $30 SRO tickets, only at the Blaisdell box office; call 591-2211.

Stefani's fragrances waft into Sephora
