FINDING SOLACE

Nonprofit hosts meditation workshops

The nonprofit educational foundation Cosmos Tree will host two "Weekends of Meditation" in Honolulu and Hilo.

Roger B. Lane, founder and director of Cosmos Tree, will speak on "Meditation: The Eternal and You," at 8 p.m. next Saturday at Unity Church of Hawaii, 3608 Diamond Head Circle. The next day will feature a "Meditation of the Light of the Most High" at 4 p.m. at Waikiki Community Center, 310 Paoakalani Ave.

Events move to Hilo the following weekend, with a "Meditation for Health and Well-Being" at 7 p.m. Sept. 26. Reservations required; call 937-5958 for location.

On Sept. 27, Lane leads a 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. workshop, "TAR: Trust, Allow, Receive," at the Hilo Woman's Club, 7 Lele St. Cost is $125 in advance; $150 at the door. At 8 p.m. Lane will reprise his talk on meditation.

Events close at 4 p.m. Sept. 28 with a repeat of the "Meditation of the Light of the Most High," at Hilo Lagoon Centre, 101 Aupuni St.
