SATURDAY

David Dondero

thirtyninehotel / 599-2552

NPR's "All Things Considered" host Robin Hilton calls him "one of the greatest living songwriters," and All Music Guide compares him to Woody Guthrie and Townes Van Zant. When Minnesota-born David Dondero (pictured) plays at thirtyninehotel on Saturday, don't say we didn't warn you about this guy's talent for weaving simple, yet intricate, melodies with just his voice and an acoustic guitar. Dondero's latest album, "Simple Love," was released on Team Love Records in 2007.
