Lava from Kilauea Volcano continued to pour through tubes into the ocean at Waikupanaha yesterday, creating a billowing laze plume evident in this photo taken Friday. The shiny surface inland from the entry is from the Aug. 10-12 breakouts. Meanwhile, the Kilauea summit continued to produce small amounts of ash and elevated amounts of sulfur dioxide gas from the Halemaumau vent, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
