Catch the rodeo at Parker Ranch
If you're on the Big Island, head over to the 34th annual Parker Ranch Round-Up Club Rodeo, ending today at the Parker Ranch Rodeo Arena in Waimea and celebrating 2008 as the Year of the Paniolo.
The family fun includes open and team roping, steer wrestling and double mugging, bull riding, wahine barrel racing, wahine steer un-decorating and more.

Island Air flies nonstop to Kona
Island Air announces it will offer nonstop Honolulu-to-Kona service beginning Friday.
The service will be available Fridays and Sundays, with daily nonstop service beginning Sept. 16.
Island Air offers 480 weekly flights between Oahu, Maui (Kahului Airport and West Maui's Kapalua Airport), Molokai, Lanai, Kauai and the Big Island (Hilo Airport and Kona Airport). Visit www.islandair.com.
Aqua welcomes same-sex couples
Aqua Hotels & Resorts is offering a "Rainbow Honeymoon" deal for same-sex couples at eight Waikiki hotels.
The special includes a convertible from Dollar Rent A Car, one-hour AquaSPA couples massage treatment, a queen- or king-size bed and a selection of free amenities that vary depending on the hotel, such as daily continental breakfast, high-speed Internet or WiFi and daily local newspaper.
A Saturday "Hula's Catamaran Cruise" around Diamond Head is available for an additional fee of $20 per person for couples staying through the weekend. Rates start at $198 per night for a minimum three-night stay at the following properties:
