The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe
Taking the time to flash the shaka sign in front of a Maui restaurant billboard in Ensenada, Mexico are Drew Hulse, left, Anita Yee, Janis Loo, Shayna Price, Andy Vincent and Mitchell Han. They were part of a group of 39 who volunteered their time at a children's orphanage.
Kaleialoha Lau, left, of the Big Island discovered this eatery in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Kailua's Cynthia Burdge was at a rest stop when she snapped a picure of this sign in Laos. "We had a rest stop at this guest house, so I felt right at home,"she said. "No sign of any volcanic activity there yet."
