Make-A-Wish group seeks frequent-flier-mile donations
Make-A-Wish Hawaii is asking those with extra frequent-flier miles to donate them to be used by a child with a life-threatening medical condition.
More than 67 percent of all wishes granted by the group involves airfare. Make-A-Wish Hawaii estimates it will need more than 8 million frequent flier miles to fulfill every wish involving travel this year.
Most airlines now allow members to donate miles to charities. For a list of participating airlines visit www.wish.org or call 537-3118.
