$10 bargains at Don Ho's
Don Ho's Island Grill is offering a "Turn Back the Clock Menu" of $10 dishes.
Chef Robert Denis has developed these items for the special price: Paniolo Pork Roast, Herb-Crusted Chicken, Furikake Mahimahi, Beef Tenderloin Teriyaki Skewers and Pasta Primavera.
The menu is available daily except during Sunday Brunch. Don Ho's is in the Aloha Tower Marketplace. Call 528-0807.
All aboard for some crab
The Star of Honolulu is offering an all-you-can-eat crab dinner aboard its Star Sunset Dinner & Show Cruise through Sept. 30. The cruise features a three-course beef dinner, with unlimited crab legs, plus the "My Hawaii -- Lei of Memories" show. It departs from Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pier 8, at 5:30 p.m. daily.
Cost is $62.19 kamaaina and military, $37.16 children, $82 regular price. Call 983-7827.
Dinner and sakes at 3660
The dishes comes in pairs and the sakes by the half-dozen at a kaiseki dinner Thursday at 3660 on the Rise.
The reception features Hoshiusagi Sparkling Sake with Blueberry Juice and two appetizers: Fried Scallop Mousse and Citrus Aioli Grilled Shrimp.
The dinner menu: Oysters 2 Ways, with Setsugetsubujin Junmai Ginjo; Carpaccio of Seared Hamachi with Hakurakusei Tokubetsu Junmai; Butterfish 2 Ways, with Tenranzan Junmai Ginjo; Grilled Duck Breast with Root Vegetables, with Jokigen Junmai Ginjo; and Black Angus New York Sirloin 2 Ways, with Miyanoyuki Junmai Daiginjo. Dessert is a Green Tea Crepe. Cost is $90.
Also at 3660, chef Russell Siu hosts a cooking class, 6 p.m. Sept. 4, featuring a menu of Seafood Ravioli, Confit of Butterfish, Sauteed Beef Tenderloin and Profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce. Cost is $60, which includes a tasting of all the dishes. Call 737-1177.
