Bible Institute holding fall classes at churches
The fall semester of classes offered by the Bible Institute of Hawaii will begin the week of Sept. 8.
A lunchtime class for downtown Honolulu workers will be presented at noon Wednesdays at the First Hawaiian Bank, 999 Bishop St., ninth-floor conference room. Ada Lum will tap several biblical chapters to give "A Practical View of Heaven."
Weekly classes are presented at several Oahu churches. The schedule includes:
» "Malachi: Who Turned Out the Light?" taught by Clive Cowell at 9 a.m. Thursdays at Manoa Valley Church, 2728 Huapala St.
The course will also be given at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at Chinese Lutheran Church of Honolulu, 1640 Liliha St.
» "Introduction to Classic Christian Spirituality" will be taught by the Rev. Steve Sturm at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Community Church of Honolulu, 2345 Nuuanu Ave.
» "Parenting the Heart: Children and Teens" will be presented by the Rev. Todd Capen at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 875 Auloa Road, Kailua.
» "Discernment: Experiencing God's Guidance in Everyday Life and Decision Making" will be taught by the Rev. Steve Sturm at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Pearl City Community Church, 933 Lehua Ave., Pearl City.
