Hawaii wins in American Legion
Hawaii routed Covina (Calif.) 14-4 in first-round action at the American Legion Baseball Western Region Tournament at Surprise, Ariz. yesterday.
The Honolulu team (25-3) pounded out 22 hits and scored runs in six different innings. Bryson Chang led the offensive onslaught with a 5-for-6 day at the plate with three RBIs.
Hawaii will play either Anthem (Ariz.) or Albuquerque (N.M.) today.
