Isle hospitals’ performance earns national recognition

Three Hawaii Pacific Health hospitals and Kaiser Permanente's Moanalua Medical Center have received awards for high treatment performance.
Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi received the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines -- Coronary Artery Disease Gold Award for sustained performance.
Straub Clinic & Hospital and Wilcox Memorial Hospital received 2008 Silver Annual Performance Achievement awards from the Heart Association.
Straub's award was for high performance in following coronary artery disease treatment guidelines. Wilcox's award was for following best practices for stroke treatment.
Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center received the American Stroke Association's Silver Performance Achievement award for a high standard of stroke care.
