Choy promoted at Kahi Mohala Health
Rose D. Choy, previously comptroller of Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health, has been named chief financial officer. She has been with Kahi Mohala since 1995. Kahi Mohala specializes in behavioral health care for children, adolescents and adults.
Jeffrey Spraker, who recently graduated as salutatorian from Radford High School, was one of five national winners of a $3,000 AFA-FCEF Air Force Excellence Scholarship for 2008. He plans to pursue his undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
Marcus Iwane, a student at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, was awarded a $10,000 Minority Scholars Award for 2008. He is one of 12 medical students in the country, and the first student of native Hawaiian heritage, to win the scholarship.
The McInerny Foundation donated $30,000 to Imua Family Services' Early Childhood Development Program. The funds will be used for a three-year demonstration project to provide speech, language and physical therapy for children 3 through 5 who don't qualify for state Department of Education services.
